Diesel Disciple Toro are produced at the Tabacalera AJ Fernandez factory Estelí, Nicaragua. The blend was a collaboration between AJ Fernandez and Diesel brand manager Justin Andrews. The blend uses a Mexican San Andres wrapper, Ecuadoran Sumatra binder, and Nicaraguan Habano fillers from the fertile Estelí growing region. The cigar starts off with bold notes of pepper and earth that go back and forth as the prominent top note but soon transitions into creamier notes of coffee, leather, and cedar. This core of medium-to-full bodied flavors last up until the final third of the smoke when hints of pepper and earth can be detected in the background. The cigar finished creamy and sweet, and never became harsh or bitter. This was a very enjoyable smoke that’s worthy of a permanent home in every well-seasoned smoker’s humidor.
