The Macanudo Vintage Maduro 1997 Churchill (7" x 49) is the first maduro to enter the Vintage Series, and trust me when I say this was worth the wait. This cigar is filled to the brim with long-fillers from Brazil, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic. These tobaccos are covered by a dark and oily Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper, resulting in a medium-bodied profile with rich notes of cocoa, espresso, and toffee. You might notice the incredible metal band that adorns this cigar, well this band is for more than just appearances. It also doubles as quality control for your humidors moisture output.

Although I'm a big fan of Macanudo, I am a bit surprised at the "tightness" of the roll. Just had two from the box so far and both were hard to draw.(I've experienced this with the Cafe Churchill's before and had to toss 2 away consecutively after lighting them). I do however enjoy the taste of the 1997 Maduro but CANNOT give them a 5 Star! Com'on Mac, your better than this...
