Cavalier Tres Delincuentes Toro Habano cigars are one of three distinct lines from Cavalier that use the same tobacco covered by different types of wrappers. The Connecticut line is mellow-to medium bodied, and the Maduro is medium-full. The one I chose to try was this Cavalier Tres Delincuentes Toro Habano, because it was medium bodied ( my preferred strength profile) and boasted a Cuban-seed Honduran wrapper, also a favorite of mine. An excellent choice was made! This was a highly complex smoke with an alluring sweet tobacco aroma and flavorful woodsy notes of oak and cedar, backed by hints of leather, sweet spice, and cocoa. The burn line remained crisp and even throughout the length of the smoke, and the draw was effortless. I call this type of smoke a thumb burner because the flavors remained well refined right down to the nub, and was difficult to finally lay it to rest without burning my thumb.
