On the other hand, I really couldn't detect much infused flavor in the tobacco smoke itself, although it was difficult to isolate it given the all out assault of that horrendous sweet tip on my tastebuds. Oh...and the strength of the sweetness doesn't fade as you smoke it - it's relentless in its assault! It's almost as if your saliva acts as a catalyst to produce even more artifical flavor as the stick burns down - yikes!

So I did an experiment: I cut off the offending cap (about 3/4 inch) to see if I could eliminate that horrible source of artificial contamination. I lit up the cigar and was greeted by a pleasant, mild dominican tobacco flavor. Nothing remarkable, but nothing wrong - just good old fashioned mild dominican flavor. Not bad!......
