Wonderful cigar! Expertly made: firm but not too firm, great draw, wonderful flavours of chocolate and coffee undertones... goes great with a nice dark whiskey or burbon. *Warning* DO NOT USE A PUNCH CUTTER! The binder may pop or break near the crown from the pressure of the punch. Best if cured for at least a month in your "special" or favorite humidor.

My first reaction, when I lit this cigar, was WOW, and my opinion went up from there. It started out with a savory smoky flavor with a light brown sugar-vanilla finish, (my wife said it was like a wood grilled steak with a brown sugar cookie for desert). As it burned down notes of chocolate became more pronounced and the flavor became more creamy, like a creamy chocolate tea or very light coffee. From entree to coffee and all with zero calories. This is the only cigar I have given a 5 star rating and it is miles ahead of the nearest 4 star cigar. I use this cigar for special occasions only because of the price; if I could I would smoke these every day.

First recieved as a gift while stationed in Iraq. Found it to be a nice smoke that didn't eat up too much of my time and a whole lot better than any of the mini's you can buy. I'm back in the sandbox and my first thought was to get another box of the Chateaus and have absolutely no regrets. Not for the timid, but won't knock you on your can either. one of my all time favorites.
