Good cigar for the price

I was given a Hoyo by a friend and enjoyed it enough to buy several more. I have smoked through about 10 of them at this point and found it to be a very consistent smoke. It is a clean, well constructed cigar. I have seen several veins in the wrappers say 3 of the 10, but nothing that was too ugly. It lights clean and has a good draw. The first third is clean and has a milder pepper flavor (red peppers). As it develops to the middle the pepper flavor becomes stronger and you start to pick up some other elements like coffee. The final third is a strong pepper flavor (black pepper) and less "sweet" . The coffee taste is strong and quite pleasant. It smoked well and I enjoyed it the most with a glass of good rum, although it was nice with a good peaty scotch as well.

Excalibur Madura is my favorite cigar. No III is the perfect size for an evening smoke as the sun sets. Great draw, flavorful but not to bold with peper and nutty flavors.
