Every guide, review, brand page, and price comparison on this site is produced by the CigarFinder Editorial Team — a group of cigar enthusiasts, industry researchers, and data analysts working together to make cigar shopping easier, fairer, and more transparent.

Our mission

The cigar industry has long been opaque about pricing. Retailer MSRPs, actual street prices, and coupon-adjusted deals can differ by 30% or more on the same product. Our mission is simple: give every cigar smoker the information they need to buy confidently — whether that's a $6 daily smoker or a $120 limited-release box purchase.

What we cover

Our editorial scope includes premium cigars, machine-made cigars, pipe tobacco, accessories, humidification gear, and the brick-and-mortar lounge and tobacconist scene across the United States. We write buying guides, brand profiles, wrapper and origin explainers, pairing recommendations, and news coverage of new releases and industry events.

Editorial standards

Our editorial process follows three rules:

1. Prices are verified daily. Our system indexes 58,000+ cigars from 18 retailers and refreshes pricing on a rolling schedule. When we cite a price in an article, that price reflects what the retailer was charging at publication. We note the publication date on every guide.

2. Brand and product facts are cross-referenced. Wrapper, binder, filler, strength, country-of-origin, and release history data is checked against manufacturer statements, retailer spec sheets, and independent industry publications before publication.

3. We disclose our affiliate relationships. CigarFinder earns commission when readers click through to retailer partners like Cigars International, JR Cigar, Famous Smoke Shop, Thompson Cigar, and others. Every "Shop Now" link on the site carries the rel="sponsored" attribute. Editorial coverage is not influenced by which retailer pays highest affiliate commission.

Expertise and experience

Members of the CigarFinder Editorial Team collectively have more than three decades of cigar-industry experience — as former retail tobacconists, cigar-event organizers, and long-time enthusiasts who have smoked, cataloged, and written about cigars since before e-commerce existed. We are not a content mill; we are readers writing for readers.
