The Nomad C-276 Robusto was introduced in 2014 by Nomad Cigar Company, founded by Fred Rewey. It was designed to be a fuller, more complex cigar in the brand’s lineup. The name “C-276” is inspired by Ometepe Island in Nicaragua, the “C” stands for Concepción, one of the island’s volcanoes, and “276” is the island’s area in square kilometers. This cigar is handcrafted in Nicaragua at AJ Fernandez’s factory. It features a layered blend of five different Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, including two types of ligero from Condega and Estelí, and tobacco from Ometepe. The binder is Nicaraguan, and the wrapper is a dark Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro. The flavor profile is rich and complex. Expect notes of cocoa, coffee, cedar, leather, and black pepper, with hints of sugar cane, caramel, and spice. The box-pressed shape helps deliver a smooth draw and even burn, making it a satisfying smoke for those who enjoy bold flavors.
