Some openings hit with sweet cedar and coffee bean, others come out firing with black pepper and espresso, but either way the Mode 5 starts lively and never really lets up. RoMa Craft rolled this short perfecto at Nica Sueño in Nicaragua with the standard Aquitaine build of Ecuadorian Habano Ligero wrapper, Cameroon binder, and fillers from Condega, Estelí, and Pueblo Nuevo, creating a medium-full to full-bodied smoke for experienced palates. As it opens, mesquite smoke, toast, and a little background sweetness make it taste rugged, dense, and oddly refined at the same time.
