Widely observed in Mexico, and even more so in the United States, Cinco de Mayo has become a celebration of Mexican-American culture that started in California in 1862, after Mexico’s victory over the French at the battle of Puebla. Noel Rojas has gone all in – and every year, captures the holiday with Rojas Street Tacos Cinco De Mayo Limited Edition. As this date is often mistaken for Mexico’s Independence Day (actually September 16th), Cinco de Mayo is now revered by millions in festival fashion as party-goers crowd streets, bars, and nightclubs all over the world with tequila in one hand and a cigar in the other. So it’s only fitting that Noel Rojas produced this 2026 Toro to celebrate once again! Legend has it that Noel, after escaping Cuban tyranny and embarking his cigar producing career, landed in San Andres, Mexico looking for wrapper tobacco and boxes for one of his first labels. On that trip, he met up with Edgar Hoill (of OSOK and Turrent fame), who took him into town, where he claimed the tastiest street tacos could be found. In that conversation, the Street Tacos brand was born; it was only a matter of time before Noel expanded his lines to include the Cinco de Mayo Limited Edition. Now entering a third year of production, Cinco de Mayo LE is back with a tweaked version of 2025’s delicious blend.
