DT&T Year of the Pausers is a little different, even by Saka’s standards.Also know as “Friends to Many” – the Year of the Pausers celebrates Tom & Michelle Pauser. So while everyone has taken the “Year of” route that’s gone the way of the Chinese zodiac, the Dunbarton family fetes their friends:  Enjoy fourteen cigars – 7 and 7, to represent Tom and Michele respectively. All are 6×48 parejos with that DTT-style pigtail cap topper, and have been hand-rolled at Joya de Nicaragua and NACSA factories. “Tom” is in the Triqui Traca column: the Nicaraguan and Dominican long fillers offer full-bodied complexity, letting layers of dark chocolate and salty caramel shine through; the Nicaraguan Capa Camaleón wrapper delivers plenty of smack. “Michele” is a medium-bodied blend with a Mexican San Andrés Tonto wrapper — a very rare, high-grade San Andrés leaf — over an Ecuador Habano Rosado binder, stuffed with Nicaraguan and Pennsylvania-seed tobaccos. Michelle has an earth, espresso, and cocoa-laden profile with a long, creamy finish. Now for the “limited” part: no more than 2,700 boxes will be available.
