The year was 1995 and a Los Angeles-based attorney named Rakesh “Rocky” Patel teamed up with Phil Zanghi to start Indian Tabac Cigar Co.Eventually, he and Zanghi went their separate ways. Along the way, Rocky Patel would introduce cigars like The Edge and Java. And of course, Decade, Fifteenth Anniversary and Twentieth Anniversary!It should be of no surprise then, that there is a cigar to celebrate his 25th anniversary in the cigar business.Celebrating 25 years of premium cigar excellence, Rocky Patel’s Quarter Century cigar spins a Mexican San Andres wrapper around leaves from Honduras, Nicaragua, and parts unknown with magically-tasty results. There are also other fillers that the company has chosen not to disclose. Of note, the company says the tobacco used was aged for 10 years and then the cigars were aged for two years after rolling.As it turns out, this careful preparation was well worth it, resulting in a full-bodied smoke with amazing refined flavors of earth, cream, coffee, nutmeg, and more. One of those rare cigars that you come across that has the most like a smoked meat type of flavor to it. That combined with a bit of sweetness on the finish makes for one very delightful full bodied smokes

The Rocky Patel Quarter Century is a dark and oily Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Honduran binder and Nicaraguan fillers. The cigar has a flawless construction and a smooth draw. The cigar is medium to full-bodied and complex, with notes of chocolate, coffee, wood, earth, nuts, raisins, citrus, and spice. The cigar burns slowly and evenly, producing a rich and creamy aroma. The Rocky Patel Quarter Century is a well-balanced and satisfying cigar.
