Gordo 6*60 Wrapper is a beautiful shade of rich golden dark brown with slight reddish hues. It's got a gorgeous oily sheen on it which just shines. Build quality is top notch with a firm and uniform feel in the hand. Density is really well done, with a perfect draw. The burn is superb, nice, even, and slow burner. What's striking about this size is that it has all the great, rich, deep, and intense flavors of the smaller rings, but it's not a Nic Monster like the smaller rings. I would say the peppery spice dominates, but there's also some nice notes of dark baking chocolate, cedar, and just the right amount of a really tasty red pepper flake type of deal happening here. Very well balanced reaching a level of refinement I don't get from the smaller rings in the "F" This cigar checks all the boxes for those who like a fuller bodied, fuller flavored cigar. For me it's a great after breakfast or after dinner cigar. I caught a nice deal on this from CP. The Large Ring/Gordo Oliva Sampler, what a great sampler it is. This is a one of a kind cigar for me. It's really rare to achieve this level of refinement in such a heavy cigar. I haven't had an F Gordo in several years. They're truly an excellent choice for those who crave fuller bodied stuff. I smoke the robusto (which is more like a short Toro) size more regularly, but this size is the piece de resistance in the line for me. Thanks for a great sampler offering at a great price Team CP. This is an easy almost 2 hour smoke for me. Awesome solid 5 stars or a 95 on the Fat Marvin scale.
I love Oliva cigars. It's hard for me to find a bad one. This is no exception. Mostly i prefer a toro size stick. I feel that's the right amount of filler to binder to wrapper ratio, for the best flavor. Well, these 38 ring gauge beauties changed my mind. This well may be the ultimate dimension in terms of getting the most flover from a cigar. Very rich, thick smoke. That "musty, musky" flavor that Olivas have. Nicr semi-sweet spice. Some cocoa, and coffee bouncing around, and a touch of pepper on the retro. They burn beautifully and last a good hour+ Just another great cigar, from a great cigar maker, bought from the Greatest cigar retailer!!
