Average Rating:
The spice kicks up a bit in the final third, leaning more into black pepper and charred wood. There’s still that core sweetness, but it’s more subdued now—giving way to a drier, more savory profile. No bitterness creeps in, which is a plus. It finishes strong and clean, with a slightly nutty aftertaste.

The complexity deepens here. A mocha-like sweetness weaves in alongside the wood and spice, giving it a dessert-like quality without being cloying. Some mineral and earth notes start peeking through, adding a rustic edge. The body holds at medium, but the flavors are full and well-balanced. Construction continues to impress with a steady draw and consistent burn.
The Gurkha 125th Anniversary Toro is a visual standout, as you’d expect from Gurkha. The band is ornate, regal, and a little over the top—right in line with the brand’s signature flair. The wrapper is a deep, reddish-brown Habano leaf with a few visible veins but a smooth, slightly oily texture. It feels firm in the hand with no soft spots. Cold draw offers notes of sweet earth, cedar, and a touch of spice.
