E.P. Carrillo Short Run 2023 Robusto Box of 24

The Short Run series by E.P. Carrillo began in 2010 as a small-batch, limited-production line. Each year features a new blend. The 2023 edition is unique, it’s the first Short Run cigar made outside the Dominican Republic, produced at Oscar Valladares’ factory in Honduras. This cigar uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras. It’s a handmade cigar with a dark, oily wrapper and a solid construction. Flavor-wise, it opens with coffee beans, nuts, wood, and natural tobacco. As you smoke, baker’s spice and black pepper emerge. The second half brings more wood and spice, with a touch of cedar on the retrohale. The finish is earthy and spicy, with a medium to full body and a smooth draw. It’s a bold, flavorful cigar that fits well in the premium cigars category.
