The Bosphorus B52 is the first release from Ozgener Family Cigars, marking Tim Ozgener’s return to the cigar world after a 12-year break. Tim is the son of Cano Ozgener, founder of CAO Cigars. The name “Bosphorus” pays tribute to the family’s Turkish heritage, referencing the strait that separates Europe and Asia. This cigar is handcrafted with an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, dual binders from Ecuador and Nicaragua, and fillers from Estelí, Jalapa, and Ometepe. It was originally made at Tabacalera Pichardo in Nicaragua but later moved to Tabacalera La Alianza in the Dominican Republic, owned by E.P. Carrillo. The flavor profile is rich and layered. Expect notes of cedar, mocha, molasses, nutmeg, coffee, chocolate, and caramel. It starts smooth and builds in strength, offering a balanced and slightly complex experience.
