Sobremesa Brulee was created by Steve Saka of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust as a tribute to the classic Connecticut Shade cigars of old. Released in 2019, the line was designed to bring back the smooth, creamy style that many smokers missed, while still offering depth and balance. The Sobremesa Brulee Gordo is handmade at Joya de Nicaragua in Estelí, Nicaragua. It features an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper, a Mexican binder, and Nicaraguan fillers. This blend produces a mild-to-medium strength cigar that is approachable yet refined. The flavor profile is creamy and mellow, with notes of cedar, nuts, coffee, and a touch of natural sweetness. Some smokers detect a subtle sweetened tip, which enhances the smooth character. Despite its lighter strength, the Gordo size delivers a long, flavorful smoke, making it a premium cigar that appeals to both new and experienced smokers.
