Tatuaje Surrogates Closing Time | Toro | Box of 20
I know who I want to take me home...The Tatuaje Surrogates blends always seem to differentiate themselves from the rest of the blends Pete Johnson releases within the Tatuaje brand. Whereas most of Tatuaje is full of full-bodied powerhouses, the Surrogates line seems to be a bit of an experimental place for new blends that may not fit into the typical Tatuaje mold. The Surrogates closing time is an excellent example of a shift from the Tatuaje model, with a more subtle and elegant flavor profile. Clocking in at full-bodied, because this is still a Tatuaje we're talking about, the Closing Time's blend begins with a shade-grown Corojo '99 wrapper. Inside is a long-filler cocktail filled with tobaccos from Nicaragua, Mexico, and the good ol' U.S. of A! The Corojo wrapper provides baking spice and pepper for a sweet and spicy combo, while the long-fillers beneath provide the classic pepper, earth, and heartiness you'd expect from Mr. Johnson. This cigar happens to be a favorite last cigar of the day for Dan Welsh, co-founder of L'Atelier. I couldn't agree more with his taste, and I hope you will too!
