Orthodox is one of Black Label Trading Co.’s strongest blends, created by James Brown to highlight the intensity of Nicaraguan tobacco. Released in 2024, it was introduced as a return to BLTC’s roots — bold, dark, and unapologetic. The cigar is handmade at Fábrica Oveja Negra in Nicaragua, the home of all BLTC and Black Works Studio cigars. The blend uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over an Ecuadorian Habano binder and Nicaraguan fillers. The Corona Gorda size delivers concentrated flavor with notes of dark chocolate, earth, black pepper, spice, and touches of dried fruit. The smoke is dense and heavy, fitting the brand’s reputation for strong premium cigars.
