After a devastating fire at his main Nicaraguan factory in 2025, AJ Fernandez turned a difficult moment into motivation, and Amar grew out of that period of reflection and renewed purpose. The cigar is his thank you to everyone who supported him along the way, from family and friends to the rollers and enthusiasts who helped make his dream reality. A third generation tobacco grower and cigar maker who began in a garage in Estelí, AJ now oversees an operation producing upwards of 40 million cigars a year. He remains hands‑on in the fields and on the factory floor, guiding the creation of Amar, which is made with a hearty Habano wrapper over rich Nicaraguan fillers. The profile brings notes of coffee, baking spice, and cedar with the smooth draw and even burn his cigars are known for. The name Amar nods to 'love' in Spanish and 'moon' in Arabic, reflecting both AJ’s heritage and the blend’s theme of gratitude and new beginnings. Each band carries a final personal touch with the inscription "Gracias por tu apoyo. Con amor."
