El Mago James Avenue Connecticut | Box Pressed Toro | Default

Think a shade leaf means a mellow, leisurely draw? The El Mago James Avenue Connecticut Box Pressed Toro 6 x 54 is here to smash that stereotype. Rolled over at the MGE factory in Estelí, this square-pressed stick wraps a golden Connecticut leaf over a punchy Habano binder and aged Nicaraguan fillers. Most guys think a shade wrapper belongs on a novice's radar, but that lively binder kick...s things up a notch. Each draw hits the palate with crisp cedar and toasted bread before a sharp white pepper note arrives on the back end. It behaves itself all the way down to the final centimeter, delivering a mellow-to-medium profile that pairs nicely with a morning café con leche.
