Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua Concerto Espressivo Robusto Cigars use the award winning blend as a jumping off point for even richer flavors. Rafael Nodal has once more joined forces with A J Fernandez to craft a new blend that evolves from their acclaimed release which secured the title of Cigar of the Year in 2019. This latest cigar draws its strength from a carefully curated selection of Nicaraguan tobacco. The filler consists of a batch originally harvested nearly twelve years ago at Fernandez’s Los Espejos farm. For the wrapper, a special hybrid of Criollo ninety eight was chosen, grown at the La Lilia farm located in Estelí. Nodal explained that tobacco from these farms tends to produce thicker leaves. These require a longer period of fermentation and aging, a process that ultimately results in a deeper and more layered flavor. At five inches and a fifty ring gauge, the Espressivo is a wonderful thirty minute smoke.
