The gamble of going for the five pack was the best decision I've made in a long time. Definitely a new favorite. They have a phenomenal coffee-chocolate flavor with undertones of nuttiness and spice. Although it's a darker wrapper, the earthiness is quite discreate. Just enough to be enjoyable. The downside, however, is the burn can get pretty bad. All five of them had burn issues, even with touchups. I'll for certain come back for more of these.

Another CAO Brazilia...another beautiful dark chocolate wrapper. Slightly oily and with little to no tooth. This short robusto style has rapidly become my favorite kind of smokes over the past year and CAO have done a wonderful job with their nubby Brazilia offering. Firmness is great...almost a 5/5. Just the right amount of 'chewiness' for me. Dark chocolate, rich espresso and sweet leather...this cigar encapsulates all of my favorite things. But there are definitely more fresh grassy notes in the Corcovado than I've found in the rest of the Brazilia line. Draw is a little more on the firm side here, and this cigar produces a firm salt and pepper ash. My impression is that this stick smokes a little milder than some of the other sizes, which probably burn hotter. I haven't had any burn problems so far, it takes its time burning pretty evenly. You might not think so to look at it, but the flavors are presenting as very naturally sweet here...a touch of pecan pie as the palate changes, and I'm also reminded of breakfast cereal. All of the Brazilias have remained consistent stalwarts of the CAO brand of cigars. I should know, I've been smoking them for the better part of two decades. Measured in terms of quality, consistency and price, Brazilia are among the best I've ever had, so it's really just a matter of picking your favorite shape and lighting up. What makes this cigar unique is that I think it can appeal to the entire gamut of smokers...from the newbie looking to celebrate a special occasion, to the five-a-day experienced smoker. This stogie has something for everyone.
