San Cristobal Quintessence Epicure-toro - Single of 1
Celebrated cigar-maker Jose “Pepin” Garcia embraces his remarkable talents as a world-class blender with San Cristobal Quintessence. Drawn from a luscious Ecuador Habano wrapper and the finest, premium aged binder and filler tobaccos grown on the Garcia family estates, Quintessence is patiently rolled in Pepin’s immaculate factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, in four classic formats. Captivating notes of molasses, coffee and black pepper intrigue the palate with a placid sweetness. Hints of dried fruit, figs and sugarcane gather in wonderful proportion to culminating spices. Cool, civil aromas emanate throughout a medium to full-bodied finish. San Cristobal Quintessence exemplifies Pepin’s rise to prominence with tasteful indulgence.

Smoked for about an hour. No touch ups, no relights. Ample smoke output. Had some nice cinnamon and spicy notes throughout. Would smoke again.
Finally a solid medium Garcia smoke

Big fan of Garcia’s best tobaccos. A lot are very strong and peppery, which is what we all love. But I’ve always wanted something smoother in my humi. As I smoke through this box of Toros I don’t find it matches the spec sheet description, but still very good. Wonderful thick smoke. I find these very round and pleasing. Medium smoothness. Pepper only comes in at let 1/3. Most of smoke is woody and I’d there to any coffee it’s a very medium creamy coffee. Quick finish, take notes of almond. No figs. I prefer rich peppery smokes but this is absolutely needed to round out your humidor. Reminds me of Cuban hoyo epi 2, when they were good. This will stay in my rotation!
