A Maduro Rich in Taste and HistoryAksum from Nick Melillo and his company, Foundation Cigars, is inspired by the biblical Kingdom of Aksumite Kingdom. According to legend, this Kingdom is the resting ground for the Ark of the Covenant.This medium to full blend is the first Foundation cigar wrapped in an Ecuador Sumatra Maduro leaf. Inside is a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and Nicaraguan long-filler. These components are like its claro counterpart, but its dark and oily maduro wrapper gives it new depth and rich complexity.Please note the Foundation Metapa has recently gone through a re-branding to the Foundation Aksum. The blend is the same as the Metapa, but the cigar will have different bands and packaging.
