The Perdomo Small Batch Connecticut Rothschild is part of the Small Batch 2005 series, first released in 2015. This line was created to showcase aged tobaccos in smaller ring gauge formats. Each cigar is handmade at Tabacalera Perdomo in Nicaragua using 10-year-aged tobaccos, with the wrapper leaves aged an additional two years in bourbon barrels. This Rothschild features a silky Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper that delivers a creamy and mellow smoke. The flavor profile includes notes of almonds, cedar, espresso, and subtle hints of caramel and grass. A touch of pepper appears on the retrohale, adding complexity. The draw is smooth, the burn is even, and the finish is clean and elegant.
