Foundation The Wise Man Maduro | Double Corona | Box of 20

Nicholas Melillo and Foundation may not be a household name, but I'm here to tell ya they certainly should be. With some phenomenal blends in their portfolio and the ratings to back them up, the company only continues to rise. Their newest edition to the lineup, Foundation Wise Man, which comes a Corojo and Maduro version, isn't necessarily a new concept. The brands debut blend, El Gueguense (meaning 'the wise man'), has halted production and undergone a complete makeover. Now produced at My Father Cigars, this premium blends tradition with new age innovation. With a rich history behind the brand, Foundation Wise Man Maduro has a blend to back it up. Highlighted by a Mexican San Andres wrapper and a mixture of long-fillers from Esteli, Condega, and Jalapa, this gorgeous handmade kicks at around medium to full-bodied. A binder consisting of tobaccos from Esteli and Jalapa provide a refined experience from the first puff to the last. While it may not be the same as the original, based on Foundation's track record, The Wise Man Maduro is sure to please and perfect to keep on-hand for a special occasion. Great news! The Foundation Wise Man Maduro has received a 90-point rating, with the review noting: "Sweet and nutty at its core, this large cigar smokes evenly, offering notes of pistachio, anise and the precise character of pecan sandies cookies. A touch of earth appears on the finish."
