Cloudy with a chance of Polpettas!Originally an event-only offering, Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust has decided that this little meatball was just too damn good to keep so limited. So. after taking the time to create enough to ship across the country, Steve Saka and the Dunbarton crew introduced the Polpetta! The Umbagog was originally touted as DTT's budget-friendly fishing 'gar, but now the Polpetta has stepped in to give every other blend a run for its money.A mixed-fill cigar, the innards of this beauty come from the Broadleaf trimmings of DTT's greatest hits like the Mi Querida and the Red Meat Lover's. With those trimmings come another full leaf of both Broadleaf and Mexican San Andres. San Andres also binds this group of mixed-fillers, and the whole thing is wrapped in yet another Connecticut Broadleaf. Despite being a mixed-fill cigar, the ash holds on tight, and I'd be willing to put money on the fact that no one could guess it was mixed-filler to begin with. Like other blends in the Dunbarton lineup, the Polpetta has plenty of cocoa, earthiness, and pepper to round out the flavor profile.
