Ferio Tego Summa | Gordo | Box of 10
Summa, Summa, Summa time!Indeed, it's time to sit back and unwind' with one of Ferio Tego's flagship offerings. It's actually pronounced Su-mah, but I couldn't walk away from a chance to tie in a classic jam like that. In any case, in my humble opinion, Ferio Tego Summa is probably one of the best cigars you haven't had. Interested? You should be.Let's get to the meat and potatoes, shall we? Carefully crafted in the Dominican, Summa is chock full of premium tobaccos. Each cigar is solid, heavy in the hand, with not a soft spot in sight. The wrapper is a richly hued Ecuador-grown Corojo wrapper, dark and leathery with a nice oily sheen. Just beneath this leaf, is an Ecuador Sumatra binder. This double-punch from Ecuador harmoniously joins forces with a core of Dominican and Nicaraguan long-fillers. The end result is a cigar that's medium to full in body, yet refined and smooth. It doesn't try to blow out your palate with pepper and spice, because it doesn't need to. Notes of chocolate, roasted nuts, cedar, and natural sweetness mingle nicely, keeping it all interesting to the end. If you're looking for a change of pace from your other super-premiums, Ferio Tego Summa'is just a little somethin' to break the monotony.
