Avo Classic Maduro No. 2 - Toro - Box of 25
Revived as a regular-production release after an earlier limited run, Avo Classic Maduro No. 2 - Toro takes the familiar elegance of the AVO Classic blend in a darker direction. This 6 x 50 Toro is finished with a Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper over aged Dominican binder and long-fillers, delivering a medium-bodied profile that stays smooth while adding deeper sweetness and earthier character than the original shade-grown version.Expect a refined mix of anise, pepper, espresso, and caramel, with a savory-sweet tobacco note carrying through the finish. The Toro format gives this blend enough room to show its creamy, balanced core without losing the darker accent of the maduro wrapper, and a measured smoking pace should put it in the neighborhood of 60 to 85 minutes.

Superbly balanced cigar. The Maduro wrapper really sets off all the subtly flavors of roasted almonds and coffee. Such a joy to smoke

This is really a classic Maduro. This and the Ashton Aged Maduro are some of the best original Maduro to come to market. Can't beat a good broadleaf.
Bad bad bad...

While this cigar tasted nice, several issues were found. #1 - almost every single cigar in the box was plugged. I may have had 2 that weren't. I had to use a nail file to push through and break the plug open. I never have to do that with any good cigar. #2 - the ash was somewhat white, it was not robust - meaning the cigar was not rolled tightly enough for this level of cigar. I would smoke it for maybe 5 minutes and the ash would fall off onto my shirt or lap. So annoying!
The plug issue is the #1 reason I'll never buy this cigar again.
