EP Carrillo's La Historia cigar is a tribute to the members of the Perez-Carrillo family who've supported Ernesto to continue evolving and perfecting his craft for decades and this cigar does not disappoint. This is the first box-pressed cigars under the E.P. Carrillo brand. The design for the cigar band and packaging is marvelous with ornate artwork. The colors are vivid and eye-catching. The wrapper is a Mexican San Andreas, the binder is Ecuadorian Sumatra and the filler is Dominican and Nicaraguan. Once you light one of these cigars, you'll instantly taste the draw of rich, roasted nuts, coffee, hints of black pepper, and dark cocoa and hints of creaminess. This is a medium-to-full body cigar that will have you yearning for another cigar after finishing one.

Had a run in the beginning in the first one but managed to even it out about an inch and a half in. After that it was smooth sailing and even burn. Nice power with some sweet kinda woody notes.

Why is the Toro size always the best in most blends? I read somewhere that it's the size most manufacturers use a a tester when doing new blends. it is definitely the case here. I have tried all the formats in the Historia line and I keep coming back to my Dona time after time!

I'm a skeptic when I see big ratings but I kept seeing EPC in the top 25 year in and year out. So I broke down and had to try the historia. I love the multi-country approach and the big bold flavor... man what a great smoke I've been missing out on all these years.
