Montecristo Espada Oscuro Guard - Box of 10
A few years back Montecristo’s team made a deal with Plasencia tobacco growers. Consisted of letting Montecristo blenders have full access to all high quality tobacco leaves. The outcome was a cigar named Montecristo Espada. The popularity of the cigar only grew and now they decided to launch another version called, Montecristo Espada Oscuro.
The Espada Oscuro features a vintage Habano Rosado Oscuro leaf wrapper, Nicaraguan Binder and filler. The combination of all the components create complex flavors, and rich, peppery notes of earth and leather. Enjoy a medium to full-bodied strength Espada Oscuro before it ends up as popular as the original.

This 5pk really amazed me. A lot more oily sheen then I'm used to seeing on most Monte wrappers. Cold draw had lots of cedar notes. Smoked even straight through with a few spikes of sweetness followed direct by salty leather. Really enjoyed the flavor contrasts.

Smell of the wrapper was average. Smell of the draw was ok, smell of the smoke was about the same. Taste was god awful and would not smoke one again. A definite pass on this.

I’ve yet to be disappointed with a Montecristo of any flavor and this one lived up to the name. I complimented this stick with Maker’s and was very satisfied. Unique flavors from start to finish, definitely recommend.
