Zino Nicaragua Robusto - Box of 25
Created as a more relaxed expression of the Davidoff family’s blending style, the Zino Nicaragua Robusto combines tobaccos from Nicaragua, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic in a format that keeps the profile lively without pushing strength too far. This 5 x 54 Robusto is made in Honduras and delivers a medium-bodied smoke built around balance rather than weight. An Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper brings the blend together over a Nicaraguan binder, with flavors that commonly lean toward cedar, coffee, nuts, pepper, and touches of dark chocolate. The larger Robusto ring gauge gives those notes room to arrive with a creamy texture and steady pace, making it a practical choice for smokers looking for roughly 45 to 60 minutes of flavor at an unhurried cadence.

A real beauty

From the first draw, I knew this was something special. There was already nice peaty leather in the first few puffs, but then the spices. Oh, the spices! lightly kissing the tongue. Following it was a sweet bit of earth and just a touch of hay. One of the better releases of 2021

With a new bolder look, Zino tries to reach a new audience. Though not a fan of the new branding, I will look past the cover to see what lies beneath. I found this smoke to be a solid medium on both flavor and strength. Not much transition, but a constant mocha note throughout. Not a stick I would seek out, but will revisit in several months

Zino Davidoff wanted to create a cigar worthy of bearing his name and he did. This is a very good cigar. Although it is rated as a medium, I think mild-medium would be more accurate. A Connecticut wrapper is a dead giveaway.
The construction is good but zi ran into issues with the burn. Definitely not razor straight and it was on several cigars. I used a v-cutter and I puffed every 30 seconds but nothing helped. Zino might want to take a look at that...
The flavor is good and that is the most important thing. 4/5 from me.
