La Opulencia Toro Gordo Box 20

Wrapped in a dark-chocolate Mexican San Andrés Oscuro and double-bound with the García family’s own Nicaraguan Corojo & Criollo, La Opulencia is exactly what the name promises, rich, plush, and a little showy. The first inch fires off trademark “Pepín pepper,” then moves into molten cocoa, sweet raisin, and leathery earth before a cedar-and-cream fade that lasts longer than a good Cuban goodbye. Box-pressed for a cooler draw and crowned Cigar Aficionado’s #2 cigar of 2018, it’s the smoke you reach for when you want to flex without saying a word.
