Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Churchill Tube - Single of 1
By now, Rocky Patel is a name synonymous with incredible premium cigar, but the Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Cigar was the very first cigar to bear his name! As one would expect from a Rocky Patel release, this is a well-balanced smoke with an even burn and impeccable construction. The 1990 Vintage is made up of a wonderfully aged 12-year-old Honduran Maduro wrapper, build around a blend of 8-year-old Nicaraguan and Dominican Ligero fillers. The result is a mild to medium bodied, smooth and balanced, cigar with wonderful notes of nuts and caramel. As any cigar aficionado will tell you that when Rocky blends a cigar, it tends to lean towards the sophisticated palate, and may not hot the right notes with the novice smoker. Rocky says that when blending tobaccos from various regions, it takes greater skill and knowledge, but the result is the symmetry and marrying of all these flavors to produce a great tasting cigar. βI blend every cigar myself. It's time-consuming and painstaking. I'll literally go through a hundred blends until I settle into a palate winner. Most of my blends are a year in the making.βThe Rocky Patel 1990 Vintage received an epic 92-rating from Cigar Aficionado in October 2004, and made it into the Cigars of The Year list in 2004 & 2006!

Churchill to Remember

I have watched the cigar fads change over the years...in the 80s a 60 gauge was unheard of and in the 90s the slim formats ruled the stage. I have stayed true to my size, Churchill 47-48 by 7. Rocky makes a Great Churchill and the 90 Vintage is one of the best i have had.

I'm not one for fancy packaging and the like but when the churchills without the tubes were unavailable I picked up a box of these. I'll give you one thing, they are beautiful to look at and it seems that they have a little bit more off to them. Maybe because of the way that they were locked in those glass tubes after production.
