Fine, succulent silky wrapper leaves coating an interesting combination of Nicaraguan Honduran blend. It all adds up to a great cigar at a great price. Romeo y Julieta Habana Reserve is made from the finest blend of Nicaraguan and Honduran tobaccos and a Nicaraguan binder leaf. Have consistently smoked the Reserve, for 20+ years I went with the Churchill; however, given recent time constraints, I switched to the figurado. Same great taste, the figured shape requires a little effort on the cut to ensure a proper draw. After that, great ash, even burn, consistent flavor. All in all a great smoke but given the chance to switch back to the Churchill I would, as the figuradon takes a skilled cut and if too much is taken off the end will unravel about 2/3 of the way through. Just not a shape for the infrequent smoker.
Great smoke for the outdoors

Good flavor, good draw; easy to light and keep lit in windy conditions.
Consistently elegant value

This is an attractive stick with an upper quality wrapper of smooth, milk chocolate brown. Do yourself a favor and don't clip the foot....you will be treated to an absolutely delightful opening pull when you first light up. There are lean black pepper notes with thin leather on the front end. Dry, whole grain toast and chewy caramel in the mid, finishing with cedar and hickory wood. I've had a box of these mellowing in my humidor for nearly a year now and they have all had a slightly dry profile, but with very consistently smooth draws and smoke texture.
This is an attractive cigar that is a "true" perfecto at a reasonable price. It errs on the thin side of complexity, but it is nonetheless elegant and more than anything, a great value. 4/5
