for the first time since 2012—arguably 2008—Oliva releases an entirely new cigar line.It’s called the Oliva Gilberto, named after the family’s patriarch, and if it looks a bit familiar, it’s because it is. The cigar was originally announced as the Facundo, Gilberto Oliva Sr.’s father and son of Melanio Oliva, who got his own cigar in 2012. However, due to a trademark conflict with rum maker Bacardi, the company changed the name. Oliva Gilberto cigars are an eclectic mix of Nicaraguan fillers, Ecuadorian binder and a sumptuous Sumatran wrapper.

Smooth and consistent

These Oliva Reserva are great budget cigars -> about $5 per stick when buying a whole box. Of course you can always buy a bundle of some other brands and pay about $2 per stick but there is no way to compare between a cigar from a bundle (most likely a long filler) and a good Oliva Reserva (or any other Oliva cigar for that matter). I love these on the Robusto size. Smooth, creamy and most importantly, consistent on the quality.
My go to budget cigar. My go to daily cigar.

Tried these Blanc Reserves with my wife looking for something we can both smoke in the mornings. We both loved them. Medium body with notes of toasted nuts and sweetness. Hard to find stuff we both can enjoy together. Need to get some more soon!
