My Father Cigars is one of the most acclaimed brands in the premium cigar industry, built by the legendary father-son team of Jose "Pepin" Garcia and Jaime Garcia. With three Cigar Aficionado #1 Cigar of the Year awards — Flor de las Antillas (2012, 96 points), Le Bijou 1922 (2015, 97 points), and The Judge (2024, 98 points) — My Father has more top honors than virtually any other brand. Every cigar is patiently handcrafted at the family's state-of-the-art factory in Esteli, Nicaragua from the finest aged Cuban-seed tobaccos, many grown on the Garcia family's own farms.
CigarFinder compares My Father prices across 17+ trusted retailers to help you find the best deal on every blend in this prestigious portfolio.
Jose "Pepin" Garcia began rolling cigars at age 11 in Baez, Cuba, learning under his uncle before crafting legendary Cuban brands including Montecristo, Cohiba, and Romeo y Julieta at the Felix Rodriguez factory. In 2002, Pepin and his son Jaime immigrated to Miami, joining daughter Janny. They opened a small factory called El Rey de los Habanos in Little Havana in 2003.
Pepin's first commercially successful U.S. release was Tatuaje, rolled for boutique owner Pete Johnson. High ratings and steady buzz earned the Garcias tremendous attention. The namesake Don Pepin Garcia brand hit the market the same year. By 2005, the family was contracted to blend San Cristobal and the prized La Aroma de Cuba for Ashton.
The original My Father blend debuted in 2008 — developed in secret by Jaime as a tribute to his father. An Ecuador Habano wrapper over Garcia-grown Nicaraguan tobaccos delivers a meaty profile of leather, coffee beans, and spice. It scored 94 points and was named #3 Cigar of the Year in 2009. That same year, the family's sprawling new factory opened in Esteli, Nicaragua — designed for vertical integration from seed to box.
Flor de las Antillas achieved #1 Cigar of the Year in 2012 with a 96-point score — an all-Nicaraguan medium-to-full Toro delivering nutmeg, spices, and sweetened cedar at an incredible value of 7-9 dollars. My Father Le Bijou 1922 followed as #1 in 2015 with a stunning 97 points — a full-throttled recipe in a Cuban-seed Oscuro wrapper with hearty black pepper, earth, leather, and dark chocolate, blended by Pepin as a tribute to his own father born in 1922.
My Father The Judge completed the trifecta with an astonishing 98-point rating and #1 Cigar of the Year in 2024 — an elaborate box-pressed smoke in an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper delivering cedar, leather, earth, and deep spices. La Opulencia showcases a spicy San Andres Oscuro wrapper. My Father Connecticut reimagines the original in a silky Ecuador Connecticut wrapper. Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial features a sweet Connecticut Broadleaf.
The all-new My Father Blue marks 2025 as the first blend from the Garcias' new 78,000-square-foot factory in Honduras, featuring a Connecticut Broadleaf Rosado wrapper over Corojo and Criollo fillers grown on their Honduran estate, Finca La Opulencia — a preview of great things to come.

Master blender Pepin Garcia trained rolling Cuban legends like Cohiba and Montecristo, and the family controls production from seed to box.
Le Bijou 1922 (97 points) is the full-bodied flagship with black pepper, earth, and dark chocolate. The Judge (98 points) is the newest #1 Cigar of the Year. Flor de las Antillas (96 points) offers an incredible value at 7-9 dollars. My Father Connecticut is the smoothest option.
Jose Pepin Garcia began rolling cigars at age 11 in Cuba and crafted legendary brands including Cohiba and Montecristo. He immigrated to Miami in 2002 and has since built one of the most acclaimed cigar companies in the world, also blending Tatuaje, San Cristobal, and La Aroma de Cuba.
Le Bijou 1922 is full-bodied with a Cuban-seed Oscuro wrapper delivering black pepper, earth, leather, and dark chocolate. Flor de las Antillas is medium-to-full with nutmeg, spices, and sweetened cedar at a more accessible price point. Both won #1 Cigar of the Year.
The Judge earned a remarkable 98-point rating and #1 Cigar of the Year in 2024. An elaborate box-pressed cigar with an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper over premium Nicaraguan tobaccos from Jalapa, Esteli, and Namanji, delivering cedar, leather, earth, and deep spices.
Flor de las Antillas offers incredible value at 7-9 dollars. My Father original runs 9-13 dollars. Le Bijou 1922 costs 10-16 dollars. The Judge runs 12-18 dollars. Don Pepin Garcia starts at 6-10 dollars. Compare prices on CigarFinder.
